Chicken Heart Skewers

A delicious and creative appetizer! The perfect way to surprise your guests with a unique take on a familiar ingredient. These skewers, marinated in a flavorful citrus-soy mix, are always a hit!

Ingredients:

  • Chicken hearts – 500 g

  • Orange juice – 2 tbsp

  • Lemon juice – 2 tbsp

  • Soy sauce – 2 tbsp

  • Garlic – 3 cloves

  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp

  • Chili pepper – to taste

  • Fresh ginger root – grated

  • Black pepper – to taste

Preparation:

  1. Rinse the chicken hearts, trim excess fat, and remove any blood clots. Soak them in ice water for 30 minutes.

  2. Prepare a marinade using citrus juices, soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, and peppers.

  3. Drain the hearts, place in a tray, and cover with the marinade. Refrigerate for 3–4 hours, stirring occasionally.

  4. Thread hearts onto skewers.

  5. Heat a skillet with a little oil and fry the skewers for 10–12 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
