Alel Agro Will Build Three New Poultry Farms by 2025

The digital transformation of Alel Agro JSC has the potential to revolutionize Kazakhstan’s poultry industry, according to the company.

The company, which already operates six poultry farms in the Almaty region, invested in a poultry complex in the Zhambyl region in 2022. According to the Kazakhstan Poultry Union, one of the advantages of this region is its proximity to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Additionally, poultry meat production in that area is lower than in the Almaty region.

Currently, a poultry farm with a capacity of 10,000 tons and a meat processing plant with the same capacity have been launched. A feed mill with a capacity of 140,000 tons has also been built.

The company has announced plans to begin construction of three more poultry farms and to launch them by 2025.

According to FAO data, global production and consumption of poultry meat is expected to continue growing. Currently, about 40% of all meat consumed globally is chicken. However, in Kazakhstan, self-sufficiency in poultry meat is only 65%. Alel Agro JSC is a market leader in the southern region. Almaty and the Almaty region account for about 50% of the national market share.
