In the Zhambyl region, Alel Agro JSC has constructed a facility worth 4 billion tenge, reports the Kapital.kz business information center, citing the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the ministry, the launch of the hatchery is part of the company’s comprehensive poultry development program. In 2022, Alel Agro launched a poultry farm, and in 2023, a feed mill with a capacity of 96,000 tons of feed per year was commissioned.

There are currently five major poultry enterprises operating in the Zhambyl region. LLPs such as Aulie-Ata Phoenix, Alel Agro, Kordai Kus, and BM Agroproduct are engaged in poultry meat production, while Asa-Damu LLP focuses on egg production.

Since the beginning of the year, 12.8 thousand tons of poultry meat have been produced in the region, which is 13.2% more than in the same period of 2023. Egg production increased by 3.0%, totaling 89.5 million eggs. A total of 475.9 tons of poultry meat were exported.

Earlier, it was reported that the Italian company Lumacheria Italiana plans to build a snail farming facility in the Zhambyl region. At a meeting with regional akim advisor Dauletkozha Mamirov, company representatives stated that the choice of the region was based on its favorable natural and climatic conditions, which allow snail farming at industrial scale at four times lower cost compared to the global market.
