Kazakh Poultry Producer Shifts to Solar Energy
QAZAQ GREEN. The largest broiler poultry meat producer in Kazakhstan, Alel Agro JSC, has taken an important step toward sustainable development by switching to solar energy from the company Elcomtel.
A 240 kW grid-connected solar power station has been installed at the enterprise. It is expected to generate approximately 316,229 kWh of electricity annually.
At the current rate of 30 tenge per kWh, this will allow the company to save around 9,486,000 tenge per year. The project was launched on September 3, 2024, and in the first 24 days of operation, the station generated about 30 MWh, resulting in savings of 900,000 tenge. This is just the beginning, and the company plans to expand the power station’s capacity for even greater benefits.
